Welcome!
This cookbook contains a collection of many recipes frequently used
by the Dean family. The recipes come from a variety of sources. More
importantly, we have gathered our precious memories from our old letters,
recipe cards, clippings and cookbooks. This book is a remembrance
of generations of family and friends of the Northland and how much
they mean to us. We count ourselves fortunate to receive these gifts
from our heritage and our community of family and friends.
From the woodstoves
of the 19th Century, to today's cookery of electric appliances, microwave
ovens and outdoor grills, our senses bring us a multitude of wonderful
