| Agency Description: | ICHHS is a county human service agency who's mission is to "protect, promote, and improve the health, independence and self-sufficiency of all people, families and communities in Itasca County". Services provided include financial assistance, medical assistance, daycare and foster care licensing, mental health, public health nursing, developmentally disabled case management, child protection, family and children services, children's mental health programs.

| Description of Field Activities | Direct services to families involved with ICHHS's through a court's order or on a voluntary basis. Students are expected to meet with families in their homes and other professional/collateral contacts in the community. Students are responsible for coordinating services with area providers, advocating for families and supporting them as they work towards completion of a case plan. |
