The MSW intern would work primarily with students with Asperger syndrome and other psychiatric disabilities, but would also be exposed to students with learning, physical, visual, and hearing disabilities. Since the number of students with psychiatric disabilities, including Asperger syndrome, continues to grow each year, DS&R would like to develop a campus-wide task force to explore and address the needs of these students.  The MSW intern would help coordinate this effort, and would be involved in both exploring the needs and developing needed support.  The MSW intern would also provide one-to-one support for students with psychiatric disabilities, especially those with Asperger syndrome.
