A directory of student and staff is published annually by UMD. The name, local (UMD) address, and telephone number of registered students are included. You must update your personal information on the web. Go to the Current Students page, scroll to the "Technology" section and click on “View/Change your Personal Info” so you can update your "mailing" and "home permanent" addresses to your current U.S. address. You are required by the government to update this within 10 days of moving.
If you do not wish to have your address and phone information published on the UMD Directory, you can update your preferences when you update your "Personal Information". Choose "Directory Suppression" from the drop down menu. Then choose "suppress" or "publish" and the submit your changes.
UPDATING YOUR MAILING AND HOME/PERMANENT ADDRESSES
Go to the UMD website at www.d.umn.edu and click on the Current Students link located under Onestop.
Select “Update Personal Information” on the bottom of the page under technology.
Enter your internet ID and password to access your Personal Information screen.
From the drop-down menu, select “Personal Addresses”.
Once you click the 'Personal Address'
Select “Current Mailing Address” link.
Enter your United States address in the “Current Mailing Address” section. Next, click “Submit Current Mailing Address Changes”. This address MUST be updated.
Scroll up on the SAME PAGE and enter your address in the “Home/Permanent Address” section. Next, click “Submit Home/Permanent Address Changes”
**NOTE: Your home foreign address will still be maintained in our records; however, you will be unable to update it through the UMD website.
