  • Vaxjo University is merging with Kalmar University. This newly formed university will be called Linnaeus University. The merger will officially start January 1, 2010. For more information about this exciting merger, and the newly formed Linnaeus University please click below.

• The University of Joensuu will merge with the University of Kuopio and constitute the University of Eastern Finland. The merger will officially start January 1, 2010. The University of Eastern Finland will be one of the top research universities in Finland.
